Tourists flood to Turkey in Nowruz
Turkey has welcomed 18 thousand tourist from Iran as a result of the 13 days holiday that was confirmed in the country due to the Nowruz.
Nowruz holiday starts every year in Iran as the beginning of the Spring on the 21st of March.
18 thousand Iranian tourists crossed the border Kapıköy in Van in Turkey in the last 4 days only.
Van, the Turkish city located in the east of Turkey decided a program during this long holiday for the Iranian tourists such like the Van Shopping Festival, hotels announced 80% fullness and most of shops made a 70% discount, some entertainment places also invited Iranian artists to organize special programs for tourists.
Rize the city located on the black sea also welcomed tourists from Iran specially the Rize thermal hotel where they put fire and visitors began to jump crossing it as a tradition in Nowruz. And many other entertainments were made specially for this occasion.
Adana the fifth biggest city in the southeast Turkey welcomed 40 Iranian tourists for the first time. Also Antalya city in the south was one of the biggest cities to welcome tourists from Iran who enjoyed playing with the paintball games and other touristic places there. Tourists from Iran also often come to Antalya and Izmir as well as a curiosity of buying a apartments in Turkey.
As said by Turkish hotels workers the tourism season has been started by Iranian tourists during this 13 days Nowruz holiday.
